Why this trip matters
The Aging Forward Study Abroad in the Netherlands offers Auburn students and faculty a rare opportunity to learn from one of the world’s most innovative health systems. The Netherlands is internationally recognized for its progressive approaches to aging, dementia care, and community-based wellness. By experiencing these models firsthand, students from nursing and other disciplines will gain a deeper understanding of how culture, policy, and design shape the way older adults live, thrive, and receive care. This immersive, interdisciplinary experience will prepare participants to bring fresh insights back to Auburn and into their future practice, research, and leadership roles.
Why your support is needed
To make this transformative experience accessible to all students, regardless of financial background, we are seeking support from donors and community partners. Contributions will help offset travel costs, fund cultural and academic excursions, and ensure that every student has the chance to engage in this high-impact global learning experience. By giving to the Aging Forward Study Abroad program, you are not only investing in Auburn students—you are also helping to shape the future of healthcare by equipping tomorrow’s leaders with the knowledge, compassion, and global perspective needed to care for aging populations.
